Recently, however, I've let it get a little out of hand. You see, I have no good furniture for standing on so that I can REACH the overhead lights to change them. Often, I find myself trying to balance on my swiveling computer chair - quite literally taking my life into my hands (or feet, as the case may be). To top it off, I've destroyed both shoulders in quite awesome (and one embarrassing) sporting accidents and therefore have the range of motion of an 80 year old when it comes to lifting my arms over my head. I also have the hand-eye coordination of an 80 year old - a senile 80 year-old. It's scary. So, in effect, I hate changing light bulbs. But two weeks ago, I realized I couldn't put it off any longer, navigating by the light of my cell phone or laptop will not due, I must bite the bullet, BUY some light bulbs and change them. So, to SuperTarget I went today, and bought all the lightbulbs I've been needing for the last few months. Now I have a new problem though - instead of thinking a head and just changing them one by one as they went out, now I have a whole pile of lights I have to change all at once.
So, pray for my safety or send positive thoughts for me or something, because I'll be doing a lot of balancing on that swivel-chair today. All for the sake of light.
Perhaps I should invest in candles and candelabras. They're much cooler looking anyways. Although no doubt, I'd start a fire with so many candles ablaze. Better scratch that option off the list.
